Choosing your child's first school is one of the most meaningful decisions a family can make, and it is a privilege we never take for granted.
More than twenty years ago, I founded Cornerstone Preschool with a simple vision: to create a place where childhood is cherished, children are genuinely known, and families feel a true sense of belonging.
Today, that vision continues to guide everything we do.
Our intentionally small school community allows us to build meaningful relationships with every child, fostering confidence, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. We believe the early years should be filled with wonder, encouragement, and joyful experiences that lay the foundation for future success—not only in school, but in life.

Our Story
Cornerstone Preschool began with a simple dream: to create the kind of preschool I wanted for my own children.
After spending ten years teaching young children at Meadow Oaks School in Calabasas, I realized there was an opportunity to build something deeply personal—a school where children would be genuinely known, families would feel connected, and every child would be given the time, encouragement, and individual attention to flourish.
In November 2005, Cornerstone Preschool opened its doors with just four students, one of whom was my son, Dylan. What began as a small dream has grown into a trusted school that has welcomed hundreds of children & families over the past two decades.
At Cornerstone, we believe childhood should never be rushed. Learning should inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a genuine love of discovery. Because every child is unique, we intentionally create an environment where each child’s strengths, interests, and developmental journey are honored.
Today, Cornerstone remains the school I envisioned all those years ago—a warm, boutique preschool where meaningful relationships, exceptional educators, and joyful learning come together every day.

Explore Our Programs
Our Campus
Our secure campus provides unwavering security for our students, families and staff. There is no “access code” for admittance. Arrival and dismissal times are monitored by a staff member during its entirety. We are diligent on checking ID’s when someone other than yourself is picking up your child. The safety of our students, families, and staff is of our utmost importance.
Our beautiful backyard is more like a park. With 11,000 square feet of space to run, play, climb, swing, bike, and enjoy sensory activities, our yard provides endless opportunities for our students. A large grassy area for sports, parachute play, outdoor picnics, and outdoor classroom instruction is the perfect gathering place. The bike path that extends all the way around the yard is a fun path to develop gross motor skills while riding bikes or playing in push cars. There are two structures that provide climbing apparatus’ along with twirly, bumpy and tube slides. Independent swings and bucket swings (for our younger students) are a favorite. The large sandbox filled with soft volleyball sand is ideal for children who need a moment to relax. All of our areas are shaded with canopies. Water and sensory play, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, backyard games and much more provide endless opportunities for our students to get their wiggles out and get some fresh air.
We are proud to be a chemical free environment inside and out. The use of all natural cleaners, disinfectants, room deodorizers, carpet cleaners along with essential oils allows for a piece of mind that your child can thrive in a healthy school setting free of harsh or hazardous chemicals.
Our beautiful bright and spacious indoor classrooms invite students to explore their environment and feel safe and secure in their surroundings.

During your private family visit, you’ll tour our beautiful campus, meet our educators, observe our classrooms in action, and discover what makes our warm, boutique preschool community so special. We welcome your questions and look forward to learning about your family as we explore whether Cornerstone is the right fit for your child. Family visits are approximately 30 minutes and are available by appointment
