WE ARE WILD ABOUT READING

Each week the librarian, Mrs. DeCovnick visits the children in our educational Cornerstone Preschool library. Each classroom has the opportunity to enjoy reading time in this cozy hand painted “book nook.” The children enjoy listening to stories, and being engaged with big books, flannel stories, puppets, books on tape, and other various mediums. Reading to children and allowing them time to recall, critically think, and engage in conversation promotes early literacy.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS

Book orders are sent home periodically to allow families to build their own libraries at home. In return, the school earns points which then allows for items to be directly purchased for the library and classrooms.
