Our Transitional Kindergarten Program offers the individual child the time and space to develp to his/her full potential thus supporting a smooth and positive transition into Kindergarten.  A healthy balance of developmental learning and play combined with academic readiness and a more structured routine allows children to be stimulated and challenged in a nurturing age-appropriate classroom environment. This class is offered between three and five days per week, half-day and extended days are available. 

• Class instruction provides core base academics for Kindergarten readiness, giving way to a sense of confidence and accomplishment.

• Handwriting Without Tears is our pre-printing curriculum of choice and Mathematics Their Way is the math curriculum that our students use for daily math practice and implementation. 

• Pre-printing workbooks, supplemental worksheets, and writing materials are used daily.

• Classroom activities include: Language Arts, Phonics, Mathematical Concepts, Science, Social Studies, Cooking, Dramatic Play, Music and Creative Movement.

• Whole class activities, small group activities, and independent learning allow for classroom success and individual growth. 

• Our Character Counts Program coupled with our Wild About Reading Program provides the children with endless opportunities to learn about good character traits while promoting a sense of love for literature.  Weekly visits to our school library prompt age-appropriate discussions about themes, character traits, award books, and authors and illustrators.
